23 Powerful Questions To Detox Your Mindset & Re-Awaken Your Passion For Life

Inside each and every one of us lies a thread. A thread that connects us to our innermost desires, and is uniquely ours and ours alone. This thread never leaves you as it is a part of you. It follows you each step of the way, as you move through every phase and chapter of your life. Many of us feel disconnected from life, from who we are, and from what we are made of at the core of our being – our deepest and most authentic passion and purpose in life.
We all yearn for something so fulfilling that excites us so much, that we cannot wait to get up in the morning and never tire. The truth is, it’s not so easy to find that spark. In fact, turn on the news and you will find every reason to want to give up. We are so used to ideas of what our lives “should” look like, or be like, that we tend to conform to societal expectations, and other people’s opinions, to the point that most people don’t allow themselves to live out God’s purpose for their lives.
God has given us all great purpose! Our purpose in life is the very meaning of our existence, and without knowing this, we can suffer the ignorance of our own significance. We may fall prey to the belief that our lives don’t matter and that we have no connection or impact on the world around us. But the Bible offers many insights into man’s purpose on Earth, and why we must live intentionally with a meaningful mission.
Here are five inspirational bible verses for guidance in God’s purpose for your life!
- “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9)

23 Questions to help you reconnect to God’s purpose for your life
Let the following 23 questions inspire you and help you reconnect to your deepest core. Feel within and find out what truly makes your heart sing and your soul dance.
That one thing you absolutely can’t live without. What will your life be like once you find it? How will you feel? Who will you be with and what will you do? Most of all: who will you become? Feel within. What is your instinctive response? Not what you think you should say, but what your gut is telling you.
Let the answers come to you. It may take a few days—or you might know the answer right away. Either way, have fun with it!
This is your life, and it’s meant to be an exciting adventure. An exploration of your spirit man! The parts you didn’t even know you had.
It might bring out a whole new you, a whole new mind—and a different life.
How would you feel about that?
Watch your body’s responses. They will be much more accurate than the comments from your mind which is trained to parrot “proper” answers—not how you truly feel.
You might even feel some fear along with dread and apprehension, mixed with excitement. What a cocktail of emotions! Don’t fret—that’s an interesting part of the exploration as well.
This little exercise is about opening up your mind, letting your soul fly free and enjoying the ride!
We’re about to have a heck of a ride actually—are you ready? To be surprised, shocked and maybe even astounded?
Then here we go:
#1. If you had 60 Million Dollars (that is, if money was not a requirement in your life, how would you spend your time?)
#2. What did you LOVE to do as a kid? What were your dreams, aspirations, favorite hobbies, and interests? Do you still yearn for them?
#3. What do you spend hours watching or reading about?
#4. What moves you so deeply that it brings tears to your eyes?
#5. What is your “go-to” sentence? = If you had to define yourself and who you are in one brief sentence, what would it be? A.K.A – Your elevator pitch… 😉
#6. What topics could you read 500 books about and never get bored or uninterested?
#7. What section in the bookstore are you most drawn to?
#8. Who are the people that live the life you want, and have reached the place where you want to be? Why would you want to be there? List them all.
#9. What would you enjoy doing for the next 10 years without getting paid?
#10. What are you doing when you feel the most attractive, beautiful, and charismatic?
#11. What is a belief or conviction you hold that almost no one else agrees with?
#12. Looking back on your life 20 or 30 years from now, what do you want to say you’ve accomplished?
#13. If you could be remembered for three things after you die, what would they be?
#14. How many of your friends and family are following their passions? (if none, then maybe you need to widen your circle…)
#15. What were your peak moments over the last month? The moments when you felt the happiest, most fulfilled? And why? (dig deeper on this one, don’t settle for the obvious…)
#16. Who is your greatest inspiration, someone you want to emulate—either present or in history – and why?
#17. What would your ideal day look like? Describe in detail and have fun with this!
#18. Take inventory at the end of each day. What was your favorite part and why? Over time you will notice the patterns.
#19. What do you want to change – in the world, your community, etc.? And why?
#20. What makes you lose track of time? The things you never want to stop doing?
#21. What were the 3 happiest moments in your life? And why?
#22. What makes you burst out laughing—loud and uncontrollably?
#23. What gives you goosebumps just thinking about it?
