3 Minimalist, Neutral Fall Looks To Implement In Your Wardrobe & Re-Brand Yourself For Success
So you’ve been thinking about rebranding yourself for a while now, but you haven’t quite figured out the ‘how‘ or the ‘when‘. Well, hellooo…what other perfect time is there to do so, than right now?
Listen, I know that I may come off a bit nerdy at times, but one thing I do love and appreciate is a good and well-put-together classic look. Sometimes, I like getting dressy, and some other days, I prefer a super casual look. And while super casual may seem boring to some, there is nothing that speaks more to the feel of the autumn season, than a neutral look. Neutral looks are the epitome of chic and effortless personal style because of their simplicity. This is also why I love minimalist looks.
A strong, casual, minimalist, neutral look denotes all types of things to many, but mostly power, elegance, success, and confidence. A minimal look is not about having to wear the same thing every day or having 30 identical pieces, like Mark Zuckerberg’s grey tees. Not at all. Granted, you can choose that as well if that’s your style. But for me, personal style should also encompass some versatility, inspiration, and creativity.
And since autumn is now here, these 3 looks should help spice up your Iced Chai Latte as you prepare to take on whatever project is calling on you next.
- Gray Tee + Black Blazer + Black Pants
I mean who doesn’t love a nice pair of black pants and a well suited blazer with a soft, silky, grey tee to go along with that? ehhh?
According to color psychology or color therapy which is used to treat physical and mental health, when it comes to the color Black , the feelings often associated with it are sophistication, power, mystery and formality. Grey is often linked to stability, security, strength, authority, and maturity.
We use the power of color for different things and moments in our life. We use color for:
- Motivation
- Leadership
- Communication
- Emotional Intelligence
- Decision-Making
- Memory
- Money Management
- Academic Success
2. Black/Tan Sweater Dress + Tan Trench Coat
Here’s a style tip for the sweater dress. Pair your sweater dress with knee-high boots for a perfect combo. This is great for dressing up, yet having the minimal look and is not necessarily casual. Trench coats are one of the most timeless pieces to have for a refined, elegant, classy, and successful look. The great thing about them is that they can be worn with pretty much anything, for a classic look.
The color Tan communicates feelings of vitality, enthusiasm, and energy.
3. Olive Green Military Jacket + White T-Shirt + Jeans
Ok the outfit above is super basic- jeans, a tee, and perhaps sneakers- but the olive jacket makes it a little more special and interesting.
Olive Green is representative of calm, refreshment, nature, and relaxation. White communicates feelings of innocence, purity, sterility, and light while Blue communicates calmness, security, and even spirituality. Pair with blue or black jeans.
We have focused on 3 neutral fall looks to enhance your wardrobe and brand yourself and your future for success. The importance of re-branding is to think our choices through so that it benefits us and works for our potential and not against us. This is why we aim to select certain colors for our own personal brand as well. These colors will suit not only your skintone, or your undertone, but it will be colors that suit your own personal brand. These colors will become your signature in a way that when people think of you, they will almost only think of you. And as I mentioned before, while a signature look or color is good to have, I find it damaging to only have one color in the wardrobe.
People often find that soft greys, black, tan and neutral colors are the most relaxing colors, as color can not only affect your mood, but may lay claim to your personality as well.
Your signature color should be worn on days when you would like to make an impression or when you want to be remembered.
